Dan. 3:24 "Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast THREE men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
25 He answered and said, Lo, I see FOUR men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God."

Are you in the fiery furnace,
That furnace of affliction;
Are the flames heating-up,
Driving you to distraction?

Sometimes the way is very smooth,
And, life is easy-going;
But, sooner or later…we all know,
Things happen…quite disturbing.

There are things we can avoid,
Turn and go the other way;
And, there are things we must stand and face,
Their outcome we cannot delay.

When things are out of our control,
Our hands tied behind us;
It does the heart good to know,
That God is always for us.

For, as in days of old,
Three…in a fiery furnace…stood;
They did not stand alone…you see,
A fourth One…the fire with-stood.

Today, that promise is still our's,
We need not stand alone;
Our LORD is always with us,
God is alive…and on His throne!

On May 31, 2001 - Hubby was diagnosed with cancer. He will lose a kidney on June 22. This poem is dedicated to him.

Outcome: Operation successful; cancer nowhere else in body. Praise the Lord! We thank all who prayed for him (and for me). Father truly does answer our prayers; He really is in control and we can trust Him: He wants what is best for us!

2007 - It is now 6 years, that hubby is 'cancer-free'...thank You, Lord!
