1Jn. 4:16 "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is Love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him."
When I think about our God,
My thoughts turn to nature;
This is where I see Him most,
All that's beautiful around us,
He's fashioned by His hand;
Unlike the things that man has built,
His creation will…forever stand.
Tall and majestic mountains,
Remind me of His height;
Although He far surpasses them,
His loftiness…far out of sight.
A pleasant…grassy meadow,
Small, wild flowers in bloom;
So like Him…peaceful…restful,
It's vastness…more than the eye can consume.
Have you ever hap'd upon a brook,
From the high places…bubbling down;
Could you not but think of Him,
From the high places…when He first came down?
And, in a garden…lush with growth,
Providing all our needs;
That of the body…true,
But flowers, also…to delight our hearts.
In the happy, smiling face of a child,
Delighted in all he sees;
No limitations on him,
He can be…all that he can be.
How about the face of young lovers,
So engrossed with each other;
That love burns bright…like a candle,
Its flame…no one can smother.
See our God in feeble hands,
With age…they have grown so;
Yet, they reach out…encompassing,
Their loved-one…of long ago.
The companionship they offer,
It's stood the test of time;
Now, leaning on each other,
Their love…now deep, serene, sublime.
Look for God…He's all around you,
He's made everything beautiful;
His handiwork superb,
Our Creator…our Sculptor…He is skillful.
See Him in His creation,
Everywhere you go;
Look for Him…He's not hiding,
He wants to be seen…for He loves us so!
