Mt. 14:25 "And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?"

Have you ever noticed,
Or given it much thought;
Just what happened…many years ago,
Early in the morning…think on it, somewhat.

The Apostles were fishing,
Way out…in the briney deep;
And, here JESUS came walking,
Depth and distance…from them could not keep.

And, here was Peter,
Wanting to be close to Him;
Stepped out…upon the water,
Never gave a thought to swim.

Just like JESUS, he would walk,
Upon the waves…fearless;
And, well he did…too,
Until, he took his eyes off JESUS.

Such it is…still today,
Life runs rather smoothly;
Just so long as we remember,
To keep our eyes on JESUS.

We can walk upon the water,
Not sink into the deep;
Focused on our LORD,
On Him…our vision keep.

But, should we take our eyes off Him,
Then, we'll begin to sink;
Before we know it…we'll be struggling,
And, faster than we think.

Should we look upon Him,
Then, turn our eyes away;
A rocky time of ups and downs,
Our lives…in disarray.

Why be battered…'round about,
By the storms in our lives;
Focus on our Saviour's face,
And, the peace…He gives.

Let's keep our eyes on JESUS,
He'll bring us through the storm;
Help us walk upon the water,
Keep us from all harm.
