Mt. 10:29 "Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows."

I learned an important lesson,
One cold…wintery day;
From one of God's tiniest creatures,
God's greatest lesson…did portray.

A tiny, shivering sparrow,
Came hopping…across my path;
The wind was freezing cold,
I thought…surely, it could not last.

This tiny…little sparrow,
Too long left in the cold;
Because of the situation,
Had now become quite bold.

What did he have to lose,
He gave it all he had;
And, I with out-stretched hand,
Gave him…all that I had.

'Twas the tiniest of morsels,
Just barely a crumb;
But, gladly he did scoop it up,
Then, from me…did run.

He didn't wait for more,
Was pleased with what he had;
And, then he flew away,
Looking happier…not sad.

If we…like the sparrow,
Were happy with what is supplied;
Perhaps there'd be less complaining,
And, thankfulness for what our God provides!
