Luke 22: 41 "And he (JESUS) was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done."

My LORD…how I need You,
My spirit deep within…cries out;
Cries out for more of You,
To know Your Will…what You are about.

Too long…I've been self-seeking,
Thinking I had all the answers;
Humbled by a lifetime of error,
Now, Your Will…I'm seeking.

Your Will…so hard to really know,
Yet, know it…I must;
For I am tired of my will,
In my will…I cannot trust.

Your ways…far above mine,
I'm tired of this battle;
The flesh and spirit constantly,
Against each other…fatal!

Your Will…Heavenly Father,
Please teach me of Your ways;
For Your Will is my heart's cry,
To do Your Will…all my days.

I look to You…in all earnest,
Desirous to please;
Your Will…by Your Spirit,
Understanding of Your Will…to seize.

To seize and never let it go,
Hide it deep within my heart;
Daily…knowing of a certainty,
From Your Will…I'll not depart.
