Luke 12:22 “Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear.
23 Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.
24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!
25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
27 "Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!
29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it.
30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them.
31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.”

Look at all the LESSONS,
That your life has taught to you;
Look at all the LESSONS,
That you have learned.

Some choices were the right ones,
Some choices were wrong;
Still…your life continued,
Even today…it goes on.

Things you thought monumental,
Turned out to be mere ant hills;
You imagination can run away with you,
Sometimes these thoughts continue…still.

We play these little recordings,
That go on…inside our head;
When…in all actuality,
We should be sound asleep…in bed.

What did it profit you,
All the sleepless nights;
Up and down…and all around,
With each disaster and plight?

When are we going to learn,
That just doesn’t cut it;
Get off the merry-go-round,
Live life to the fullest?

Wouldn’t it be simpler,
Even add years to your life;
If only you had trusted,
Put an end to this strife?

Now…you tell me…"Yes",
And, now you can say;
That there is a better approach,
Than that old habit and way.

Problems work themselves out,
When the wrestling does cease;
No need for more gray hair,
All the wrinkles and each new crease.

What good does it do,
To worry and to fret;
Has it been beneficial,
Or caused you…sicker to get?

Polly Anna…not the attitude,
I’m not saying to just walk away;
Responsible…we are to be,
Not blank in mind…that way to stay.

Responsible has never meant,
To bite our nails down to the quick;
Nor, to toss and turn at night,
And, in our minds…get it all fixed.

Now, hasn’t every problem,
An experience…really been;
And, didn’t we learn from each one,
As they continued on…without end?

See each experience…beneficial,
As a challenge…every day;
An opportunity to trust more,
On life’s journey…all the way.

Give Father the chance,
To bring balance into your life;
It’s all a learning experience,
The good…the bad: happy times and strife.

We’ll not be disappointed,
If we tell Father…of our cares;
He will make a way for us,
As our burden…we do share!
