"Until they're grown",
For years has been my cry;
God, in His infinite mercy,
My wish, did not awry.
For this I am so thankful,
The years He gave to me;
The fruit of my labor,
I've lived to see it be.
A family with its struggles,
"Waltons" we were not;
But something far much better,
For which we all have sought.
Reality was always,
God's purpose and His plan;
The truth we sought and found it,
And, my, it is so grand!
A mate who always loved me,
Through thick and through thin;
Children are an extension,
Our lives begin again.
Grandchildren are a blessing,
The fun and all the joy;
A second chance for us,
Years' wisdom to employ.
Truly God's blessing on us,
Truly, His love is felt;
Life's little lessons changing,
Family and love remain!
