I awoke one morning,
So very still was the air;
I looked about me,
And peace permeated...everywhere.
Soft music filled the air,
The sound of birds and more;
Lush cedar trees did here abound,
Deep moss and ferns galore.
Rays of sunlight shimmered,
Shimmered through the trees;
Sending off a prism of color,
All nature was in harmony.
So tranquil was the atmosphere,
I could do naught...but wondered;
How it was that I had come,
To a place where peace abounded.
There is a peace, that one can have,
It passes understanding;
Resting in the finished work of Christ,
On His Word, I now am standing.
