I have sheep that you know not of,
Words so simple…yet, profound;
What do you suppose our LORD meant,
When these words…He proclaimed?
Could it be that we think only,
Of the one fold that we're in;
Could it possibly be there are others,
Some with other doctrine?
Oh, NO…and God forbid it,
Other sheepfolds out there;
Sheep that He cares for,
And, for their sins…did gladly, bear?
I'm in the Baptist sheepfold,
Or, I'm in the one called Pentecost;
Surely, my sheepfold is the only one,
Of this I'm thinking…but, NOT!
Wherever two or more are gathered,
Gathered together…in His name;
He is there…in our midst,
This is the Word, He did proclaim.
So, come on Sister…Brother,
Take me by the hand;
We have but One Shepherd,
Not my idea…God's plan.
There is a sound doctrine,
Gathered from God's Word;
But, avoid men's doctrine,
It only will divide.
In every assembly,
If there are only two or more;
Gathered in His name,
That's God's sheepfold!
